DX-9 Instructions

In early 2023 I got a commission for a vehicle from Star Wars called the Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport, or DX-9 for short. This is a large troop transport from the Star Wars X-wing video games from the 90s and 2000s. The commissioner had requested that I design the vehicle to minifig scale and be able to carry its full in-universe passenger complement. They had also requested that I base my Lego version off Fractal Sponge's version of the vehicle and not the in-game one as it was more detailed and better textured than the original. The DX-9 took a long time to design and was a large collaboration between me and a couple other builders who helped on any challenges I faced. After finishing the model I decided that after all the work I wanted something to commemorate this project so I reached out to my friend Edgar Velazco to collaborate on creating a UCS style instruction book to both keep and sell to those interested. Using the UCS Star Destroyer set as a frame we created pages where information and content would go. I reached out to my main building collaboration partner to add some info about the process and reached out to Fractal Sponge if I could use his renders for the project. The design process took a couple of weeks and the book was fully printed and coil bound.
